Read the program guide →Silence has context
Withdrawal can be a coping response, conflict pattern, stress reaction or sign of disengagement. The same outward behavior can have different causes, which is why context and direct communication matter.
What to watch over time
Notice whether the person returns to the conversation, takes responsibility, repairs conflict and remains reciprocal. Temporary quiet and chronic emotional unavailability are not the same pattern.
When more support makes sense
If the situation involves fear, coercion, abuse, threats, addiction, severe distress or a mental-health crisis, general relationship content is not enough. Consider appropriate professional or emergency support for your location.
